Dear Sir Frederick,

Reverting to our correspondence re the proposed Chapel for the use of the inmates of the Eyre Diocesan Refuge. The Director of Public Works suggests a small site for the pur- -pose, the position of which is indicated on the enclosed plan he has lent to me. It seems to me undesirable that this land should be put up for public auction because if outsiders bid more than I can afford and build dwelling houses so near to the Refuge they may be detrimental to the difficult charitable work that is carried on there. If you think the Secretary of State would not consent to the land being given to the Church would you be willing to recommend for his approval the sale of the land to me for say 8500 without an auction?

I am etc.,

(Sd.) G. H. Victoria.
